Rodgers Girls - VA, Mountain Home, TN

Saturday was a chilly day with a lingering drizzle for most of it.  But, it cleared up enough for my session with the Rodgers - Meaghan and Hannah.  They were a little bit crazy, and I like that!

About the location - The VA, Mountain Home, TN.  We utilized a lot of the spots around the VA, including the boulders, the gazebo, and several buildings.

Rocky Mount Historic Site, Piney Flats, TN - A photo shoot

This past Saturday, I had a last minute cancellation for a session on Sunday.  The worst part - I had already reserved a local historic site for the shoot.  Not wanting to ruin my newly established relationship with the site, I called up friends and offered them the session spot.  Thankfully, they said yes!

Rocky Mount Museum may be one of my new favorite places for a location photo shoot.  For a nominal fee ($15 during business hours and $25 for non business hours) photographers may use the site.  Now, it might seem crazy to pay $15 to take photos there during business hours, but we were there on a Sunday.  The site is closed on Sundays and I happily paid $25 to have the place to ourselves!

The Gilchrist Family

I had so much fun with the Gilchrist family this past weekend!  Going through the photos I found myself smiling or laughing at almost every photo as I remembered the day.  I greatly enjoyed their whimsical, fun side that led to several pictures around the playground, not to mention countless other impromptu funny photos!!  Oh, and let us not forget the giant Indian Head!!  Here's the sneak of their day.

Photos taken at the Metro Kiwanis Park, otherwise known as Indian Head Park, off of Knob Creek Rd in Johnson City.

A Fall Formal

Last night was the fall formal at Elizabethton High School.  Jalen and her boyfriend, Christian, were kind enough to help me out with a school project and allowed me to take some photos of them. Moms and Dads were in tow and we turned it into a mini session.  These two exuded high school cuteness!! I hope they had fun at the dance!  Thanks for helping me out!!

We went to my new favorite place for outside shots - The Salt House in Jonesborough and surrounding area.

They needed no prompting for these!

It was chilly out and in between spots Jalen put her jacket back on.  I actually really like it in this photo - kinda rocker-ish!

There's a hill to get down to the lower part and it is covered in rocks.  The good boyfriend carried her down, and back up, the hillside.

Matthew and Fender's Farm 2013

Back in September, I went with Caryn and Matthew to Fender's Farm.  It wasn't an actual picture day, but I captured a few fun shots anyway!

It was quite the game to get a picture of Matthew looking at me and smiling!

We took this same photo last year.  I can't believe how much he has grown!

Matthew had the entire jumpy, bouncy, pillow-thing all to himself!

Marinda Round 2

Marinda and I met up this weekend to do another round of fall photos.  She took me to some beautiful homes around Mosheim.  Mosheim has gorgeous rolling hills; I had no idea!

Vasilko Family

I had a lot of fun working with the Vasilko family!  They have such a wonderful family chemistry and are so easygoing.  My favorite part was Nanci's great idea to take photos of each of them doing their favorite hobby!  I love this idea!  And best of all, she wanted the photos in black and white!  Bonus!!

A Quick Fall Shoot

My friend called me early this week about doing a quick shoot for her daughter.  Her daughter was selected for a yearly calendar honoring high school students.  One problem, they could never get the photographer to call them back.  So, it was Jenn to the rescue!

We had fun, even though it was a bit chilly with a very cold wind, and I think we got some great shots! She's going to be October.  Thankfully, for us, it is October!  And we found a beautifully decorated spot.
