Karing Fair 2014

Saturday, August 16th, was our 6th Annual Kari's Heart Foundation Karing Fair.  The Karing Fair is the annual summer event for Kari's Heart Foundation to raise money and awareness.  Kari's Heart Foundation have been helping families with sick kids in the hospital since 2008.  They provide a wonderful service and help families with everything from toiletry bags to gas cards to hotel stays to rent to emotional support.  If you are unfamiliar with the foundation and sweet, little Kari Schoondyke's story, please follow the link above to learn more.  Now, here's a look at the fair!

The day started off with the Heartbreak Ridge 5k run - the hardest 5k you will ever run!!  To see the rest of the Heartbreak Ridge 5k please follow this link - J. Commons Photography - Heartbreak Ridge 5k.

The overall winner with a time of less than 21 minutes (Sorry, I can't recall the actual 20:??)!

This 12-year old won the other bike and he was so excited.  When Randall asked him how he felt he said, "Tired!"

July Photo Walk - Downtown Elizabethton

Today's photo walk took me to downtown Elizabethton. I have lived here for seven years, and besides some photos around the covered bridge, I have never explored downtown with my camera.  I walked around the covered bridge, up and down Elk Avenue, and around the riverside preservation.  The humidity was low and the temperature cool!

Downtown has some beautiful architecture.  The pigeons seem to like it.

This building is so little and cracks me up. I wish there was more around it so you could get a better view of the scale.

Senior Year Memories Package

It has taken me several years to get here, but after capturing these moments as individual events I thought it would be a fun idea to put them into one unique package.  

SENIOR YEAR MEMORIES PACKAGE

The senior year of high school is filled with so many exciting times that you want to remember.  So why not capture them all and have a keepsake book, too?  

Package Details:

Four photo sessions* - These sessions can include up to four things/events from senior year that you want to remember.  For example - 

    - Traditional and Personalized Senior portraits

 

 

    - Fall formal

 

    - Sports photos

   - Theater performance

   








    - Club events

    - Prom

   

    - A BFF photo session

    

    - Awards ceremony

*Each session will last approximately one hour.  Additional sessions can be purchased at a rate of $50/session.  Props are welcome.

Photo Memory Book - A 7x7 photo book including photos of all your events artfully arranged to tell the story of your senior year.  Books will be personalized with name and high school information.  Larger books available for additional costs.

The Cost - All four photo sessions plus the memory book for $350.00.  That's a savings of $100!!!

The Fine Print:

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due within one week of booking.  The remainder will be due at the first session.  This package does not include prints.  However, prints will be available for purchase through my website J. Commons Photography.  

Not all dates for sessions must be chosen at book date, I know some of these things will not be readily known.  However, dates will be booked on a first come, first serve basis.  Things like sporting events offer multiple opportunities for sessions, but fall formals and proms are more of a one shot deal.  I am happy to work with you and can offer at least two prom sessions on the same day.
